About Me
Professional
My name is Michael Paladino and I am a software developer at EagleOne Logistics headquartered in Fort Smith, AR. I have approximately 6 years of experience developing web and desktop applications based on mostly Microsoft technologies. For the first 2 years, I mainly developed in classic ASP. For the last few years, I have been immersed in Windows Forms and ASP.NET. I have also been increasingly involved with creating and maintaining SQL Server databases and have had a fair amount of experience creating websites using DotNetNuke and Umbraco.
I also started studying for my Microsoft Certification in April 2007 which is the motivation for starting this blog. My ultimate goal is the Microsoft Certified Professional Developer: Enterprise Application Developer (MCPD: EAD). My blog will focus mostly on this process and will serve mainly as a reminder of topics I'd like to revisit. Hopefully others will find some of this information helpful or interesting, and if not, that's OK too.
In January 2008, along with some other developers in the area, I helped start the Fort Smith .NET User Group. The group has been a lot of fun and hopefully will help a lot of developers in the area get some exposure to some good .NET training.
I graduated with a computer degree from the business college at the university I attended, and I usually feel like it was not nearly as technical as I would have liked it to be. So, occassionally you may see posts that seem extremely trivial or simple but again are listed as an aid to me in studying for my certification.
Personal
The Lord has blessed me beyond measure with a wonderful and loving family. I am a Christian; a husband to a beautiful wife, Leslie; and a father to a beautiful little girl, Gabby. Hopefully, these things define me far more than my love of technology and software development.
